Illuminations from the Bhagavad Gita
(1975 Harper&Row; republished by Mandala Publications 1998)
40 color images, 55 b&w drawings

A selection of essential verses from the Gita is lavishly illustrated, incorporating both Eastern and Western classical illumination styles. Kim Waters, with the assistance of Chris Murray, worked on the illustrations for over five years, inspired by the timeless wisdom of the Gita and her personal association with Swami A.C. Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada, the translator of the book's verses.

The Butterthief
(Mandala Publications, 1998)
23 color images

In The Butter Thief, the unconditional love of a parent for a child is exhibited by Mother Yasoda for Krishna. This enchanting story captures children's imaginations as they lose themselves in the serene world of Vrindavana, the land of Krishna. Kim Waters' illustrations are full of wonderful detail and illuminate the magic of this famous story from the Bhagavat Purana.

Enchanted Tales- an ABC Fantasy
(1998 Mandala Publications)
26 color images

Angels, elves, bluebirds, and Brahma bulls are just a few of the entities woven into the lavishly detailed illustrations of this alphabet primer. Reproduced in gorgeous pastels, they are so mesmerizing, adults will enjoy them as much as the intended audience—children ages two and above. Tongue-teasing rhymes spin fantasy stories around each letter. With very subtle undertones of Eastern spirituality, this is a work in which imagination and education coexist in harmony.
